Folliculitis or Contact Dermatitis???

by enigma05, Apr 11, 2005 12:00AM
I am using Warts no More to treat what I'm not even sure is a wart. I wrote to you about it a few weeks ago and you said it was most likely a cyst. I have been treating what was a red raised bump with the product and now it is nothing more than a red spot on the shaft of my penis, but I burned it with the tips of some tweasers which might explain the persistent redness. I was using Warts No More 2 days ago and stupidly decided to run the cotten swab through my pubic region to see if it would work against molluscum too, which I haven't had for almost a year now but want to make sure it stays that way. I ran the swab along the base of my penis too and now there are red raised pimple like growths spread along the base of my penis. They don't exactly hurt but are extremely irretible. I had unprotected sex last July. Had all the STD tests afterwards to cure my paranoia to include a Herpes Select Blood Test which was positive for Type I which I heard 90% of population has and Negative for Type II. Nothing even resembling an outbreak has occured and would it even be possible to get what would be my first one 9 months later? Could the Wart Remover have caused Warts to rise to the surface if they were there in 1 day? Are Warts painful? I am hoping it is Irretant Contact Dermatitis or Folliculitis and I know you can't diagnose me but I would appreciate your opinion very much. I put bacetracin on them and have had them only 2 days. If non-STD how long could and should they take to clear up? Thanks for your time.

Please, please leave yourself alone, stop tweezing or applying irritating things to your genitals, and get a doctor to look at what you have so you'll know for sure.  A positive herpes 1 test doesn't mean anything.  Wart remover is irritating.  If you need counseling to help you deal with the fact that you don't have herpes, please get it.  Please.  Thanks.

Hey I just saw a doc and he immediately identified it as folliculitis. I figured thats what it was but am still curious to hear your evaluation. Thanks
