Hi Doc,
For 2 months now Ive noticed a strange rash right below my left nipple. When I first saw it I went to the dermatologist. He said he said it could be herpes zoster (shingles). He said it should clear up in 3 weeks. It hasnt. I recenlty been tested for HIV, HSV-1, HSV-2, Just to make sure. I tested postive for HSV-1. Negitive for both HIV and HSV-2. Im concern what could be causing this rash. The rash looks like irratation on the skin with little pin sized white pimples in a group and its scailly. I also had a small patch of skin on my groin area thats discolored its not raised kinda looks like the one on my chest. What could this be??? Please help. Im really worried.

I don't think you need to be worried. It clearly isn't zoster, because it would have spread or gone away. It certainly doesn't sound like any virus, herpes or otherwise. It may well be just irritation or blocked pores. My advice is not to pick or rub it, which would confuse things, and show your rashes to a doctor. The dermatologist will reconsider the diagnosis of zoster in light of what's happened since.

My husband has recentlty developed a rash covering his penis and is on his lower stomach near his penis area, he says it not painful just iches, they do not look like warts or sores, just like a red pimple look, what could it be?

About 4 days ago i started getting a rash on my inner Thigh Close to my Testicals......It soon started to spread out and started to get bumpy now its a big rash with bumps on the outter edges and gets flaky and Makes it extremly hard for me to walk at times the little bumps then spread to my right inner thigh Please help i dont know what to do

I have a very strange rash on the head of my penis.I thought it was a normal rash but it has been there for almost two weeks. At first when the red pimple like bumps appeared, it didn't itch. after a few days, it didn't go away and started to itch. I've tried powder to keep the moist out and it helps but it'll come back after the first ones had dissapeared.I am currently trying Lamisil. Does anybody know what this might be?
