Hi:
I was diagnosed with MS in 1984. Only recently (June 1999) diagnased as also having ON. Optho who made the diagnosis was overly vague as to when/if normal vision will/can return. Are there general circumstances for the MSer with ON?

Thanks,

David

david-
the good news is that with or without MS the vast majority of people who suffer ON recover just about full vision within some weeks or months- though you may have subtle defects like decreased color vision. the problem with MS comes from the possibility of repeated attacks of ON that can overtime cause permanent vision loss- discuus this with your ophthalmologist or be seen by a neuro ophthalmologist who specializes in this area good luck
