Dear Sharon,
A traction diverticulum of the esophagus is a benign condition in which an inflammatory process of the lung involves the esophagus causing a pulling out of the wall to create a diverticulum. these are usually located in the mid esophagus. These conditions are benign and do not cause any problems. You should be aware, however, that some people taking Naproxen can develop gastric and small intestine inflammation. These problems are independent of the esophageal diverticulum.
