Question Title: IBS/Fistula

Forum: The Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases Forum
Topic: Digestive

Hi..a quick background, I am a 26 year old male who had correctve surgery when to correct a blocked uretur that I was born with..I had laparoscopic gall bladder removal 5 years ago along with pancreatitis when gallstones got caught in the bile duct and pancreas, I have been slightly overweight since gall bladder removal...I have had abdominal pain for the past 5 mos. accompanied by diarrea(sp) gas, and excretion of bits of undigested food, stool is usually loose, watery, and messy and frequent. The pain is lower right side just below my navel, usually a dull ache but can be sharper.pain is usually worse when I havent eaten for a while.pain has also moved across to left side although this is infrequent. I have had a Barium enema, Barium Upper GI Xray, colonoscopy. the Upper GI Xray revealed possible connection via fistula with small intestine and rectum as barium was present in rectum before appearing in large intestine but colonoscopy and tests for chrones and colitis appeared normal. The upper GI Xray took only 45 minutes instead of the expected 3 hrs for me to be excreting barium.I have been able to control pain and some symptoms thru diet and excercise as well as acupuncture, but nothing seems to work on a long-term basis, esp. with gas and diarrea(sp). I think the doctor missed the fistula. I am also always hungry. Pls tell me what you think and suggest any possible future tests I should have.
