Question Title: Help pleaseForum: The Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases Forum

Hi Iam an 18 year old male who is been having stomach problems since I was 10 years old. It first started off with alot of gas and bloating with sharp abdominal craps and weight loss. I was said to having a bowel infection and was given medication and malloxx for the gas. It subsided a little only to come back at age 14 but the symptoms were not the same they included heartburn, cramping and nausea, I still ate almost eveything with only the cramping giving me trouble. But now at age 18 it has been several months that I am down to eating just rice and bread and feeling nauseated all of the time if I eat or don't eat. I was diagnosed with GERD 3 years ago but I have never gone through all this trouble with this before. Is it normal with GERD to feel nausated all of the time and to have cramping or do you think it is something differant. Please respond very soon for my peace of mind and for my health. Thank you very much for your time. Dear Leo, Your symptoms are consistent with gastroesophageal reflux disease. However, there are other clinical conditions that may also be present. I am concerned about your not being able to eat regular food and weight loss. I would recommend that you have a gastroenterological evaluation.
