HELLO, My MOTHER HAD COLON CANCER REMOVED FROM LARGE INTESTINE,
AFTER SECOND RESECTION SHE HAS 5 FEET BOWEL LEFT AND A SMALL SPOT OF THE CANCER THAT GROW. SHE DID NOT HAVE CHEMO AFTER THE SURGERY. THE SURGEN THINKS THERE COULD BE A ABSTRUCTION IN THE BOWEL NOW AFTER CAT SCAN, HE SAYS THAT IT COULD BE THE BOWEL HAS SOME SMALL SCHEMIC AND NOTHING WOULD BE DONE, OR ANOTHER TUMOR,OR THE BOWEL COULD BE STUCK TOGETHER, mY QUESTION IS THIS: IF BY SOME CHANCE THEY HAVE TO GO INTO THE BOWEL AGAIN,hEAVEN FORBIT, WHY CAN'T THEY REMOVE THE SPOT OF CANCER DURING SURGERY? IT IS IN THE MUSSEL BEHIND THE BOWEL, CANCER HAS NOT SPEAD TO ANY OTHER AREA. MOM TRIED CHEMO AND RADIATION RECENTLY BUT COULD NOT TOLERATE IT. wHAT ELSE CAN BE DONE AND WHAT DOES THIS RECENT BOWEL TROUBLE MEAN? pLEASE GIVE YOUR THOUGHTS, i REALLY APPRECIATE HOW THE PEOPLE OF THIS FORUM OFFERS THERE TIME AND KNOWLEDGE.
