I came across a foggy web site that suggested hemarroids might be indicative of liver disease. I have them and slightly elevate enzyme levels.

What's the story on the correlation -- if any -- between these (hemarroids and liver disease).

As always, thanks.

Dear JBK,
Hemarrhoids are a common complaint and most people with hemarrhoids do not have liver disease. Having written that I must also add that sometimes liver disease can produce very large hemarrhoids.
