hi,

i've been on depo provera for about 1.5 years. I've have had chronic stomach problems for months and was just diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Can depo provera cause ibs or ibs-like symptoms? I've found some hints through my Internet research that it can, but I can't seem to get a definite answer. Please help! Should I go off depo?

WOW!! That is very interesting!! I too, am on the depo shot, have been for almost 7 years except to get pregnant again 4 years ago, and then got back on the shot. About three years ago, I was also diagnosed with IBS. I guess it had never occured to me that they could be related!! Have you found a definate answer yet? PLEASE let me know if u do, and I will let u know if I find out anything. Good luck!
