Pain in left abdomen by navel area

by Treasures, Jun 26, 2001 12:00AM
I am 37 year old, had a C-Section 5 years ago and have been having pains on my left abdominal side next to my navel area.  I am constipated since childhood but didn't notice this pain until after I had my C-section.  It always felt like I have a balloon in that left abdominal area. I thought this would go away as soon as my stitches heal. Lately, I have been having bouts of bad headaches, nausea (vomitting), bad heart-burn, and bloatiness on my left side. My headaches may go away but still feel like throwing up most of the times.  My left back side is also starting to bother me at night.  I suspect is part of this.  Because I am constipated, I have been eating lots of fruits, vegetables and bran/wheat foods to help myself and drinking lots of water.  This hasn't helped me at all.  I have also been exercising and walking--- doesn't help. Also, when this bloatiness is there, it feels like I have something going round and round in there. I have to wear very lose outfits as the mildest touch to my tummy makes it hurt and my breathing difficult. It also doesn't take much for me to eat and I gain 5 pounds in a day or 2. I don't know what to do anymore. Please help.

Try eliinating ALL the wheat, and dairy products in you diet. See how you feel. Go soy and gluten free grains.
