hereditary? relationship with HIV

I am a 31 yr old male,

H/O oesophigitis/reflux, hernia and told hyperacidity since 19

HIV +ve since 1994 (24yrs)

Current treatment 40mg omeprazole daily which is now not working.

S/S acidity reflux, difficulty in swallowing(gagging and vomiting) insatiable nausea.

HIV nelfinivir,AZT,3TC and abacavir. viral load undetecable CD4s>650

noraml weight for age/height



Father has similar gastric history (last 10 yrs) now 63.

Has had several scopes repair of sliding hiatus hernia x2

diagnosed last month with barrets disease. is to have regular dilatations. and told 6month scopes



What preventive measures should I be taken is there a relationship both hereditary and HIV.
