Intestinal Paralysis

by Luckychosey, Dec 09, 2001 12:00AM
I have had Crohn's Disease for 24 years, have had a right hemicolectomy, ileosecal resection and ileocolonic resection, currently take 15 mg prednisone and 100 mg 6mp daily.  For the last ten months I have been having extreme bloating and distention whether I eat or not.  It is an almost daily occurence.  I have just had a colonoscopy and upper GI both came back negative for inflammation and active disease.  The only sign of Crohns was ulcers noted on the small intestine.  The doctors, after having a cat scan and stomach x-rays have told me that my intestines stop working and fill with air.  Is there any one out there who has had this problem and can it be corrected?  Is it neurological?

Thanks for any help or advice you can give me.
