crohn's symptoms from real people

by CHADDY, Jan 23, 2002 12:00AM
Hello, my name is Chad.  About 3 weeks ago I started noticing that when I would eat I was getting sick.  Then one morning, last Sunday, I woke up dizzy and felt nauseated.  Since that time I am having the feeling of nausea off and on throughout the day and abdominal pain.  At first I thought that I had a stomach virus, but the blood test came back normal and so did the urine test.  But still, no relief from the pain associated with this.

I am having a colooscopy tmw, and the doctor said that it could just be an infection, but he said that he was leaning toward it being Crohn's or something that is like Crohn's.  I am concerned.  I don't know what to expect.  I don't know how to handle this.  I need reassurance from others that experience these things.  I'm trying to be positive, but about 5 years ago I started having seizures constantly and have about a month finally felt like they are under control.  Poor me is not what I am trying to say, I just would like to hear that everything will be ok.

Any response would be appreciated, thank you for your time and for readint this.

Pardon the above posting that is fraught with errors.  I also meant to say that yesterday I had a CT scan and that it showed a thickening in the colon.

And in regards to the title of my posting I didn't mean anything offensive to the doctors, I have just found out that others that have illnesses are a wonderful source and seem to understand more than those without.  Ok, I feel better now after adding clarity to my statements.  8-)

Hi I just have recently found out that I have crohns and I am currently taking remicade treatments.  These ar 2 hours treatments given through the veins and I am due for my 2nd one today.  I wish I could help you but this is all new to me as I have just found out on the 12 on Dec last year.  I have been in the hospital with 3 intestinal blockages since then.  At this point the only food that seems to agree with me is Campbell soup.  Needless, to say I'm not a happy camper and I'm looking for a second opinion.  Any help you can give me I too would appreciate it.  My prayers are with you.
