liver resection experiences?

Hi, I'm new at all of this med stuff and I'm finding this site extremely helpful! I was recently diagnosed with a small adenoma in segment 4B of my liver and am due to have it surgically removed later this month. Laparoscopy isn't an option due to its location, they say. I've never had surgery and am quite anxious about it. All my docs say the tumor has got to come out if pregnancy is in my future (it is) due to the tumor's potential rupture and cancer. If anyone has undergone a liver resection I'd love any and all details. Many thanks in advance, Kathy
