Can Purinethlo cause amenorrhea?

by Cecilia, Mar 19, 2002 12:00AM
My 19 years old daughter has Crohn's disease.  She takes 100 mg Purinethol every day.  She is very well now but in may 2000, she was in crisis (the first she ever had and it corresponds to the moment they found she had the Crohn's disease) and since that time, she never got her periods. At the beginning, she took Asacol to which she is allergic and caused pericarditis. Then she took prednisone and now she takes only purinethol.  Do you think the purinethol could be the cause of this problem?
