I am looking for a referal or a suggestion for a doctor in the Salt Lake City area that might treat colectomy survivors. My need is to establish with a doctor for immediate and long term care associated with a colectomy patient. All comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Ray.

Hi guys, I have had an ileostomy for 18 years following a complete colectomy when I was 26 years old. I had a 20+ year history of acute ulcerative colitis prior to surgery. While i required a great deal of care (as I am sure you all did) following surgery, I have been very healthy since and do not need any follow-up care with an MD. Is there a specific issue that you feel needs attention and/or our support? Please let us know if you are able. Good luck!
