Can you get GI problems from sharing a water bottle and then get Barretts from the GI problems.

Barretts is a condition that results from acid reflux, and TOO much smoking and drinking. You can't catch it!

As for sharing a water bottle. You shouldn't share anything because there are germs, and bacteria. H-Pylori being just one. Bacteria you can catch, but NOT barretts.

I thought the bacteria may have caused LES weakening and eventualy the Barretts .  Thanks

I was tasting a friends well water. I seem to remember that he was taking prilosec. It seems that I have been sick since then. It was stupid but I didn't know how to refuse. He is on dylasis now and getting social security.

You could have got some kind of bacteria (H-Pylori) from the well water. If you are having problems, than maybe you should see a GI for testing.
