HELP QUESTION ABOUT PROPULSID

by juliana, Jun 18, 2002 12:00AM
Hello everybody I live in Northern Ireland and have just been to see gastroenteroligist. He thinks I may have a motility problem causing my gastritis, which I didn't have before taking meds for H pylori. He wants me to take propulsid, nexium and carafate. All this is new to me and I would be very grateful for any advice on these meds and side effects which people have experienced I am very reluctant to take any meds since it was meds that caused my problems in the first place.   Thanks for any inpuy

Be careful taking Propulsid.  It was taken off the market here in the US.  I've got to believe that there had to be a good reason to do this.  Ask your doctor about this before you take it. I believe it was taken off the market here because of some of the side effects.  Best of luck to you.
