blood clots, ulcerative colitis and cholostomy in MS patient

by tootietoo, Jun 19, 2002 12:00AM
I am writing for a friend who has MS and had a cholostomy one year ago. She has also been diagnosed with ulcerative colitis.  For the past 6 months she has been having huge blood clots passing from her rectum. Her colorectal surgeon seems to think this is normal even though she is very upset by this. With the ulcerative colitis, she has stomach cramps before the clots pass.  I was wondering if anyone has experienced this  and knows what might be causing this. She will be seeing her dr. again soon  even though she has talked to him about this problem on a couple of other occasions. Any and all comments will certainly be appreciated.  I know she is dealing with a lot here having MS along with her other problems. Thanks a lot.  Tootietoo
