Is it common to need surgery as soon as you're diagnosed with gall stones? I am in my twenties and have not had any problems with "attacks" Is it safe to wait a year of more till surgery?

People can live for years with gallstones and never know it. If you aren't having pain - you shouldn't worry. Just be aware if you have pain in the future have gallbladder looked at.
