Impotence/Gallbladder Disease

by Haydon, Jun 29, 2002 12:00AM
Hello To All,

Have just this minute registered. I would like to know if gallbladder problems can result in impotence?

I have had upper abdomin pain on and off for 5years now. It wasn,t mentioned untill a few weeks back when I attended the outpatients clinic for investigations for possible colon polyps.

The investigation did reveal a large polyp in the rectum that will require major operation to remove it. The consultant said the abdomen pain was nothing to do with the polyp and could be a problem with my gallbladder. It is always worse when I eat fatty foods, which I now avoid altogether. I am waiting for appointment

for ultra-sound scan to find out more. I have always had a healthy appetite for sex although I am now 65. The feeling are still strong but cannot manage a complete erection. Any advice will be much apreciated.

Thanks,

Haydon.

I would go see my family physician, who may refer you to a urologist.  This forum is not monitored my physicians and is for the digestive system.  One illness has nothing to do with the other.  Although, it is something that you should have looked into to see if something serious is happening.  I am sorry I could not be of more help to you.  Good Luck!
