Anyone else have this?

What have your symptoms been like if you have and how to you know for sure if it's gone after the triple therapy used for 2 weeks? The reading I've done says it can lead to cancer and yet other others state that 70% of the world population has it. One doctor I went to didn't seem too concerned that I had it but another(after I fired the last one) did seem to be. How in the world does one get h. pylori. I've read it could have come from food, could have been in my system for years. Also, can it be contagious? Mixed findings on that one too.

Thanks,
Abbey

"Have you tried ALL the gastric reflux tips, EVERY DAY, FOR 2 WEEKS, yet? (without acid blockers). These "tips" often help get rid of H. Pylori too."

Concerned, I'm starting tomorrow on the tips you provided. My mind has been in a state of confusion lately due to mold problems, back problems, digestive problems and doctors sending me in all different directions. I'm going to take a deep breath, relax and try some of the tips you provided. That is in between doctor app't's...lol. I'm beginning to feel like a hypocondriac. I am so sick of doctor's and their condescending attitiudes for the most part. I should go back to the pea brained doctor that said I would feel soooo much better after my son's wedding and tell him, "Surprise, I'm STILL sick, guess it wasn't nerves after all". Never been a nervous person and I don't bottle things up inside. But I do believe we have to be in control of our health issues and if one doesn't provide the answers then find one that will.

Thanks for listening dear.

Dear Abbey,

Good for you, for being willing to try some holistic (natural) remedies. I urge you to read the book by Michael T. Murray, N.D., called "STOMACH AILMENTS & DIGESTIVE DISTURBANCES" (1997) (Prima Publishing, 916-632-4400) (in Rocklin, CA).

In a good search engine, type in "books by Michael T. Murray" into the address bar at the top of your computer monitor. Press "enter" on your keyboard OR click on "go" next to the address bar.

This will take you to Michael T. Murray's website. Eventually click on "other books", and you will see how to order this book "on-line".

Here's a summary of the table of CONTENTS of the book:

1. The Digestive System- Function and Analysis

2. Indigestion (includes GASTRIC REFLUX which he calls "Reflux Esophagitis"/Heartburn). Also includes Low Stomach Acid (Hypochlorhydria). Also includes "Treating H. Pylori Overgrowth Naturally"!!!!!!!

3. Peptic Ulcers (can be in stomach &/or duodenum)

4. Small Intestine Disturbances

  a. Celiac Disease
  b. Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth
  c. Yeast infections
  d. Leaky Gut

5. Colon Disorders

  a. Constipation
  b. Diverticular Disease
  c. Hemorrhoids
  d. Irritable Bowel Syndrome
  e. Dysbiosis (needing Probiotics to fix)
  f. Parasitic Infections

6. Food Allergies (includes signs, symptoms, causes, immune-system disorders, other factors, diagnosis, dealing with)

7. Dietary Guidleines (includes juicing, food combining, menu planning, etc.)

8. Inflammatory Bowel Disease

  a. Crohn's Disease
  b. Ulcerative Colitis, and more.

I also think you really need to get a GOOD doctor to pay attention to the many bad effects your body has experienced due to the TOXIC MOLD in your previous home!!!

You really need to find a SPECIALIST doc, whose specialty is "OCCUPATIONAL & ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH" (formerly called "Clinical Ecology"), to help you REVERSE the bad effects of the TOXIC MOLD!

Nat'l Jewish Hospital (NJH) has a Department of Occupational & Environmental Health. Call the LUNG LINE, at 1-800-222-LUNG (5864), and ask the nurses what docs are in YOUR area, who specialized in Environmental & Occupational Health, and who studied at NJH! If they don't have any names for you, ask to be transferred to the Occupational & Environmental Health DEPARTMENT, at NJH, where you can ask for a callback, to discuss your situation, regarding the MOLD, and get ideas on how to proceed, to get better! (This could include getting some recommendations by the docs at NJH, on whom to see, near you, OR, it might mean going to NJH!)

Abbey, stay away from pea-brained docs! READ, TRY, and find some GOOD DOCS! I believe that you will find more accurate diagnoses (more than one, I'm sure!), plus gentle, effective, treatments! :-)

Although I really like Michael T. Murray's book, I realize that he doesn't cover ALL digestive problems, so there are gaps--like gall bladder problems, liver problems, pancreas problems, etc.

Sincerely, Concerned lady
