Corneal surgery, and a relatively positive result, can you vomit after the nissen? Have you? Was it
painfulPainful menstrual periods? It's something that I never thought to ask my doctor, and now I'm on the other side of the world and can't get in touch with him. I would really appreciate any comments.
Thanks

I can burp, I couldn't for the first three months, but now I can. Not as often as I might want to relieve the pressure, and I really have very little control over stiffling them!
I'm living in New Zealand for a year, travelling and working, then heading off to Australia and Hong Kong. A trip I had planned for ages but could never have done before the surgery!

Find a good Endocrinoligist, there are many ways to treat it and get the ionized calcium back in check.
I know several others that have had the same problems.
The big problem I find is many Doctors at the VA, dont think its possible. One reason is I dont have cronic wasting syndrome with the diarreha.
I do find it controled with codeine, but nothing else.
Good luck. Keep a phenigrin shoot on hand to stop any dry-heaves!!!!!!

ALSO BEWARE OF THE SO-CALLED RENOUNED SURGEONS WHO WRITE ALL THE **** ON PAPER TO MAKE THEMSELVES LOOK GOOD. TRY TO LOCATE SOMEONE/PATIENT WHO HAS HAD A GOOD DOCTOR. THEN SEEK OUT A PHYSICIAN WHO SPENDS MOST OF HIS TIME DOING THAT PROCEDURE ONLY. THERE IS A STOMACH DOCTOR IN THE CARIBBEAN WHO HAS DONE THESE PROCEDURES HERE IN THE US FOR YEARS. HE WAS AT THE INDIAN RESERVATION DOING NISSEN WRAPS ON A WEEKLY BASIS. ONE OF THE FELLOWS HE DID WAS A 95 YEAR OLD INDIAN MAN AND THE OLD FELLOW TURNED OUT OK.
HE WAS TRAINED AT LOMA LINDA UNIVERSITY AND DID HIS RESIDENCE AT VANDERBUILT. HE IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE, DEDICATED,COMPETENT AND HIGHLY SKILLED. HE IS AT THE ADVENTIST HOSPITAL IN TRINIDAD WEST INDIES STILL PRACTICING AND KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING. I'M TRULY SORRY I DID NOT FIND OUT ABOUT HIM UNITL NOW.
