Laparosopic Fundoplication justification

by doc08810, Oct 11, 2002 12:00AM
I have a vapor burning instead of the liquid reflux that come up with GERD in my throat 24/7, but in past years i've suffered from sever acid reflux. I also have tightening of the chest. I have pain in my neck and below my right sholder blade. I have shortness of breath despite that I had a tred mill stress test and passed. I've been to numerous doctors and testing and finialy to a surgeon by recommendations of these doctors. According to the test I've had I have a moderate hiatial hernia and they are recommending I have a Laparosopic Fundoplication operation.

I would like to know if that anyone else has had the same symptons and the surgery and what were the restriction after the healing process---where you able to go on a normal diet and eating patterns?
