can anyone help?

for a while now i've been getting terrible itchiness around my anus and it is often sore. my boyfriend says he thinks there are some red dots there, but i don't know about fissures or anything like that. it feels slightly lumpy round the outside too. i thought it could be haemmorrhoids but i haven't had blood in my stools for a while, though it is often sore when i go to the toilet, but i think any blood there is is coming from the outside of my anus rather than inside. i'm only 19, so i don't know if haemmorhoids is that common to people of my age... can anyone suggest what could be going on? it is quite uncomfortable sometimes...

You said you haven't had blood in your stool lately, does this mean you have? If you have, you probably have hemmoroids. You can treat them by using stool softeners during the day and suppositories before you go to bed in the evening. Because you feel lumps on the inside, you probably have hemmoroids internally. If you want to be sure before treatment you can go to a GI doctor and have a sygmoidoscopy done.

Just try this.  Stop using toiletpaper. Clean with cold water only the deeper the better.  If nothing else it will prevent and cure haemorrids fast. Barend
