Hi, saw your post and thanks for asking about my brother.

He had the polyp removed and the cancer was contained to that.  It didn't spread which was a good thing.  He doesn't have to have chemo or radiation and is scheduled for yearly colonoscopies and blood testing.

The only issue I had with him is he went back to work too soon.  He was only home a few weeks and the doctor told him it was okay. I reminded him that he had major surgery but he's thick headed and felt he was fine enough to go back.

Thanks so much for asking, I really appreciate your thoughtfulness in remembering this.

For others who read this - don't ignore colon bleeding thinking it's a hemorroid.  In my brother's case, he had an angel on his shoulder to make him see a doctor when he did.  He thought it was just a hemorroid - it was cancer so don't put it off, if you have bleeding from your colon, check it out.

Wow, your brother must really be doing great.  That's wonderful.  I thought he was just dismissed from the hospital 2 weeks ago.  He's doing a lot better than I did.  Those are great words of wisdom you had for everyone!
