anyone have a 2nd HIDA scan???

anyone have a 2nd HIDA scan???

hi!
the surgeon my daughter saw last week wants her to have a 2nd HIDA scan. she is 19 & the emptying percent was 32. she does not have any stones. (at least none that show up anyway)
she is having it done at a different hospital this time. at the first one, they did not inject the CCK, they gave her Ensure to drink..they said it was more "natural" & they had research that indicated the results would be the same. this time they will be injecting the CCK into her IV.
they had trouble getting the gallbladder to visualize, so they had to give her morphine, which tightens up the sphincther of Oddi, so the GB will fill with the radiotracer stuff.
the footnote on the 1st HIDA scan said that the ejection fraction was 32%, but might not be accurate due to the morphine.
So..has anyone had more than one HIDA scan & had different results?
has anyone been given morphine during a HIDA scan to make the gallbaldder fill?
did you end up having surgery & how are you now?
the surgeon says that the 32% is "low-normal"..he doesn't like to do surgery unless it is under 30%...
if he say's that he doesn't recommend surgery..what do you do??

I went to see a specialist yesterday( 2nd opinion).....he advised a 2nd hida scan with the cck....He also said anything below 30% is abnormal...Has your daughter had a colonoscopy?....That was his advise if nothing showed up on the 2nd hida scan...Unfortunately, my regular dr does not feel i should have a 2nd hida scan, he wants to do the colonoscopy...Let me tell you, i am now having sincere sympathy for lab rats....
