cavernous liver hemangiomas

by arlmon, Dec 22, 2002 12:00AM
I had an ultrasound last May/02 to check a kidney cyst. They did all the other organs as well, and discovered that I have 2 cavernous liver hemangiomas with some atypical (not normal) features most likely due to central necrosis (decay, degeneration of tissue). I had another ultrasound Dec. 18/01 and things were unchanged. Now they advised to me have a CT scan or MRI in 6 months. I have no pain or other symptoms and if they only did the kidney, they wouldn't have discovered the liver hemangiomas. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem? I'm nervous because I don't know if I should wait 6 months, even though my doctor said it's fine. I always say, the more they look for, the more they'll find.

I have also been diagnosed with a hemangioma on my kidney and liver.  Found while looking for abdominal pain on a CT Scan.  I have been on hormones for almost year.  I am very cystic as well.  Anyone with similar situation?  Any advice?  Going for another CT Scan after 2nd hemangioma was found.  Thank you.
