gas

by NikkiZ, Dec 31, 2002 12:00AM
I have ulcerative colitis, and have had it for 9 years.  I am just coming off of a flare, and am having a lot of excess gas, which I can not pass through my rectum without a little bowel coming out.  This pressure runs me to the bathroom about 3-4 times a day.  The pressure is so bad, that I am scared to go anywhere without a bathroom, preferably two.  I can literally only hold the gas a minute or two.  I have no blood, mucous, or diarrhea.  Is there anything I can do for this?

Thank you
