Yellow Diarrhea

.Please help or refer to talented DR in my area (AZ) I currently have had yellow diarrhea for almost five weeks. I have been taking lamotil to help but as soon as I stop the meds it starts. I gave birth in 12/06 to 1st baby-, c-section. I am early 30's. Started tachycardia, High BP around the time of when the yellow diarrhea started. I have had a colonoscopy and it came back normal biopsies ok (he said the only thing he saw was that my colon was red but it is no big deal.)Stool samples came back normal from ER. Echo, resting, and stress test that came back normal. I wore a holter monitor for 24 hours and the Dr. said that it looks like something electrical although they think that it is "something in my body that is causing the electrical problem". Pulse/heart rate has been as high as mid 100's to 200's.

I have had Abdominal CT and MRI. They only found what looks to be an old hemmoraged on the adrenal which they said is now calcified. The other notes from these tests were a "tiny subcentimeter hepatic cyst approx. 5.0mm in the posterior dome of the liver and a tiny cyst on my ovary. I have been very nauseaed at times too. I have lived a very healthly life and have never been sick until now.

What do you suggest we should be looking for? Tests that I may not have had? Please help?

Yellow DiarrheaYellow stools can be indicative of biliary tract obstruction. However, an negative CT scan would make this less likely. An ultrasound can also be done to look at the biliary ducts. I would also obtain liver function tests.

You also have had thorough cardiac testing which would rule out many of the major cardiac disease. A referral to a cardiac electrophysiologist can be done to ensure there are no arrhythmias present.

I agree with the colonoscopy. Tests to check for fat malabsorption can be done, as well as blood tests looking for celiac disease.

These options can be discussed with your personal physician.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
