Question Title: Beta-HcgForum: The Maternal and Child Health Forum
| |
|
My Hcg level is not at the level it should be at. Is there a treatment or medicine that the doctor can prescribe for me to bring the level up to normalcy and help prevent me from having a miscarriage? Dear Kristie: hCG is the hormone secreted by a "normally developing pregnancy". It is a symptom of a problem; it is not the problem. A parallel example is when your vacuum cleaner stops picking up dirt because the bag is full. Adding suction is not answer: putting in a new bag is the solution. There is no treatment that raises the hCG level and saves a failing pregnancy. This information is provided for education purposes only and is not a medical consultation. If you have specific questions, please contact your physician. Keywords: hCG
