Question Title: Gyn questionableForum: The Maternal and Child Health Forum

My Gyn had me take blood tests the 3rd day and 22nd day of my cycle....found out that my progesterone level was low...next had HSG....tubes and uterus are fine. I will be starting clomid my next cycle between the 5th and 10th day. My Gyn said she'll see me when I get pregnant or in 4 months which ever comes first. She didn't prescribe pre natal vitamins, as my family doctor said she should have, and she didn't mention blood tests to see if the clomid doseage is correct, which I read should be done. I'm looking for a new Gyn....are my concerns medically valid? Thank You. Dear Sharon: When a patient has concerns/doubts, discussion with the treating physician may identify a rationale for the actions that seem different from standard recommendation. Most physicians will welcome a second opinion. Keywrods: clomiphene, infertility, luteal phase defect This information is provided for educatin purposes and is not a medical consultation.
