Question Title: Please explain protien based brain cysts in embryo

My sister is 18 weeks pregnant, I have not been able to get all info yet but am very concerned, she had blood work done to test for neuro damage and had ultrasound today. The Dr. told her that her baby has multiple protien based cysts on its brain. Is this life threatening? Will they be able to evacuate the cysts when its born? Will the baby have developmental problems? What causes this?

Please get more information. I do not understand "protein based brain cysts".
