Question Title: Inverted CervixForum: The Maternal and Child Health Forum
| ||||
Posted by hfhs.md.db on April 15, 1999 at 14:51:31Topic Area: Pregnancy - AbnormalHas anyone heard of the term inverted cervix and if so, any information on its correlation with fertility?
I have not come across the term "inverted cervix" and have not been able to find any of my colleagues who are aware of this either. Is is possible that you mean cervical "eversion"? This is simply when the glands of the endocervix (inner canal part of the cervix) grow out onto the outer part of the cervix. This is a variation of normal and in fact is the rule rather than the exception in pregnancy. There is no relation to impaired fertility.
