Question Title: Could high hCG level at 13 dpo indicate twins?

I had a blood serum test done at 13 dpo to confirm a positive hpt and found out my hCG level was 336. That was the only check of hCG that I have had but from the ranges I've seen, this appears to be on the high side for this point in my pregnancy. Could this mean that twins are possible? I became pregnant on my 4th month of Clomid at 50 mg. My first dr. appt. is 5/5 when I will have just finished my 9th week but I have been very curious about this question. Thank you!

hCG levels do vary amongst laboratories and one cannot take the values from the medical literature or the internet and apply them to the test that you have had. If the experience from your physician's office is that this is a high value,and you have taken a medication known to increase the likelihood of multiple pregnancy, then twins would seem a reasonable suspicion. Conversely, this may be a number that is common in early pregnancy from that laboratory.

hCG trends are helpful. Absolute hCG levels do not date a pregnancy or predict the number of babies.
