I have not cut my 6 year old sons fingernails in over 2 years because
they do not grow. He does not bite his nails, but his fingernails have
a bitten appearance. It appears as though the nail beds are growing
past the end of the fingernail. I cut his toenails every few weeks. They
grow at a normal rate. Is it normal for fingernails to not grow at all?
Should I be concerned?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

There are a few things that you need to investigate. Are your son's finger nails breaking off or is he bitting his nail with out you noticing? Also, make sure you are providing him with a well balanced diet. If his finger nails are truely not growing then make an appointment with your son's health care provider.
