Question Title: Termination problemsForum: The Maternal and Child Health Forum
| ||||
Hi Recently I met a girl. We have just started to go out and we haven't had any sex yet, but I have a slight problem. She had gone through two terminations before with her previous b'friend and this is kind of bothering me ( the effects of termination). 1. What can happed for her in the future pregnancies? Can her vaginal be over stretched due to the termination and will this effect her sex life when making love in terms of pleasure? We hope to settle down in a third world country someday so there may not be good medical attention. 2. Will she need very special medical attention during pregnancy besides the normal? 3. What are the chances that her future baby can be deformed or a miscarriage? 4. Is there a possibility of her getting a cancer in the womb, because of the terminations in the future? Its kind of bothering me that there will be future problems and she does not consider that its important maybe to have a regular check up so before I discuss the issue openly with her in detail I would like some advice. Therefore your advice is highly appreciated. Worried b'friend Arty Dear Arty: Most women who have had a termination of pregnancy have no problems in future pregnancies. A small number of women have a problem with the cervix remaining closed during future pregnancies (incompetent cervix).
