BBT - over 98 degree five days straight! ~Am I Preg?

| . | We've been ttc for 1 year now. We had our 4th IUI (8 days ago) after gonal-F and HCG injections. For the first time ever my temp went over 98 degrees and has stayed there 5 days now (@98.19). My baseline is 97.19 (during period). Usually I only get to 97.89 the highest for a few days after ovulation. Mine hit that days 2&3 post IUI, then day 4 post IUI it hit 98.19 and has stayed there ever since.
This is my 2nd cycle on gonal-f. However, this is the first time i had a mini-booster HCG shot (4 nights ago). I did hit 98.19 that morning, and didn't have the shot until that night, so at least I know the first morning at 98.19 was on my own. The booster HCG shot is to help aide with implantation should an egg be fertilized.
Could this be an early indicator of pregnancy? |

| . | Thanks for the responses! I'm so hopeful. I would expect my AF this Friday (2 weeks post HCG shot), however with the mini-booster that I've never had before, I don't know if that would push off AF arriving. I go this Sunday for Beta b/w with my RE to confirm if AF doesn't get here by then. I really hope this is it! |

| . | its hard to tell what youre having done. do you have a problem ovulating or with conception itself? I actually never did the BBT calculation because I knew the egg can only survive 12 hours or so and typically sperm that is deposited before ovulation is what fertilizes the egg. Have you used a ovulation tester? Also, maybe you can explain what youre having done. best!!! |

she had intra uterine insemination. its where a mans sperm is washed and then injected into the uterus during your most fertile time. she also had HCG booster shots to help any resulting pregnancy along. when this is done BBT is pretty much the only way to keep track early on because any preg test would be positive because of the booster. hope this helps |

| . | Hi Stacie, so you've heard of the booster hcg shot being done? This is the first time for me for that (even though this is my 4th IUI). I had 4 follies this time, so it increases my chances. I know I ovulated based on my temp spike (from 97.19 to 98.19). My temp has been high for 6 days straight (98.19) until today, it dropped slightly to 97.89 (which is usually my normal highest point so I'm not as concerned). If it drops to 97.59 or 97.39 then I'll know I was unsuccesful this time (way down at 97.19 is my AF temp). So 97.89 I'm hoping still gives me a chance. Also, my bb's have been very sore (they even hurt when I walk) and last month this symptom was gone by this point in my 2ww. They say the booster hcg helps with implantation should there be an embie to implant. I would expect my AF to start Friday if she comes. I get my beta b/w Sunday (if she doesn't show up).
Thanks for writing to me! If you have any other thoughts on my situation please let me know! Do you think it's a good sign (my temp's)?
