how long after a miscarriage does it take for the hormone to leave your body??

Ok I know I asked a similar question earlier but I just needed to know for those of you who have suffered a m/c or if you know people who have, how long did it take for your levels to go down to 0? I had the m/c over 3 weeks ago and i am still showing pregnant on a HPT. It is so frustrating, i just want it to go down so my cycles can start again. Thanx ahead of time.

I think it depends on what you level was when you started to miscarry.  I believe that the higher it is the longer it takes.  My hcg level went from 70 to 2 (which is negative) in about 10 days.  I know exactly how you feel but is does get better with time.  I mc at the beginning of May and I feel so much better now.  I'm ready to TTC as soon as I can.

I had a natural m/c on 05/05 at 6-7 weeks. On 05/24 the HPT already showed negative. A/F came on 06/02 I didn't do any blood test, but I guess the negative HPT means my hormones are back to zero.

i had my m.c and the dr didnt want to check my blood level at first i made them. when they did check it had gone down from 24 to 9 within 4 days. everything i read says it can take weeks. i suppose if your dr will send you go have the blood test to see if they are going down or up! good luck to you;)

i had a blighted ovum. at 8 weeks was told it was 4 weeks old and then at 10 weeks my levels went down to 2. so it took 10 days. depends how far pregnant you are. i started bleeding at 12 weeks exactly

I miscarried at 6 weeks (12/25/05).  I did not have a D & C and let things go naturally.  Almost 6 months later, my HcG is still not at 0...but it's getting close...it's now at 37.  I have been going back to the dr every 3 weeks...and it's not fun!
