by mom2haydn, Dec 06, 2006 12:00AM
Hello everyone. i posted a comment the other day about having the depo shot. I called my doc and they told me that I was scheduled for another Dec 7th, but they missed looked, I was supposed to have one last month. I am ttc so I am not taking it anymore, does clomid help? Is it expensive?

In my experience, it did help on my third cycle with clomid we got pregnant but we m/c, this was back in July 06.  I had to wait b/c it made me produce polyps and i had to have them removed just last 22 Nov.  My copay is $5 per pill. I think it depends on your insurance.  I was told by my doc we can restart with Clomid 100mg next month.

Good luck to all of us and best wishes for a 2007 Baby!!!!

I have a medical card, is it covered?

Clomid was covered by my insurance and the co pay was $5. It is not an expensive drug. I'm pregnant for the 2nd time thanks to the help of clomid. My first pregnancy it worked the first shot. The 2nd time on the fourth. Good luck!

Yes Clomid works.  I used it.  It took me 3 cycles.  I was on 50mg days 3-7.

Has any of you used it after taking the depo shot. It scares me.

I dont think it would matter if you use it after being on the shot.  All it does it makes you ovulate.  I fthe dr is willing to give it to you then I would say you are ok.

I was on depo and then used clomid. I am currently pregnant off of my second cycle of 100 mg days 2-7. I went through 4 unsuccessful cycles and took a break so I was pleasantly surprised get a baby so soon this time! My insurance does not cover clomid at all but I found it to be very affordable. I live in Alaska and things tend to cost more here but I paid around $50.00 for a 100 mg cycle. Clomid comes in 50 mg tablets so I got 50 mg x 2 tablets x 5 days = 10 tablets for around $50.00. The higher dose they put you on the more expensive it will be. It averages about $5.00 a pill...I wish you the best of luck! Baby dust....

Clomid worked twice for me (I just found out I am pregnant!!!  I am 5 weeks) - days 2 thru 6, first 2 cycles on 100 mgs and last cycle on 150 mgs - got pregnant both times on the 3rd cycle.  I am very grateful that Clomid is available becuz with PCOS I know I dont have much chances naturally conceiving.
