Sorry girls, i just need to vent. Me and my dh have been ttc our second child for months now, and this month, i thought for sure i was preggers. I've had all the same symptoms that i did with our pregnancy with our ds, but i took a test the day AF was due and it was negitive. Im now 10 days late, and took another test this morning, and it was, of course, a bfn. I hate this. I just feel so defeated. Everyone around me is starting to have their second children, and me and my dh cant get a break. i just dont understand how it was so easy the first time, and now it seems impossible. My ds keeps asking me when he is going to have a little brother or sister and it breaks my heart. I want so badly to give that to him! I dont know what to do. perhaps i should talk to my doc about more ways to regulate my af? (ive tried progesterone to no avail!)im just so sad, and envious of all the people around me that are effortlessly expanding their familes. Any advice or support right now would be wonderful, because i cant feel much lower.

What type of test did you take? My first 2 or 3 urine tests also said negative but then I took a blood test and it said positive and I am definately pregnant. Sorry about all the frustration!

thanks for responding ruthy. I tried the Clerablue Digital the day i missed my AF. I just used First Response this morning. my cycles are really irregular, but i just feel different. I think reguardless if i am actually pregnant or not, i should take your advice and get a blood test done, and just get myself checked out again. i dont feel like i normally do when i have a long cycle

Don't get too down yet if your periods are irregular you may just be off on the dates; and could very well be pregnant. I didn't get a postive until I was 3 weeks...That was after I negative blood test. Good Luck!

Thank you. I just need positive reinforcement right now. I hope and pray that by some slim chance i am pregnant, i would be over the moon! I think im going to go to the doctor and take a blood test. Maybe its not over for this month yet. ..how many days late were you when you took your hpt?

When I was preg I took a test 2 days after I thought I had missed my period and it came back neg. I took one 4 days later and it came back positive, but very faintly. I think that a blood test might help to relieve your anxiety so you at least know one way or the other. I feel your frustration though and I can understand. I am still trying for my first and I see everyone around me with their healthy children and they had no problems concieving and I just had a m/c with my first pregnancy. It is hard not to get down, but I know that it will happen for me eventually, and you too. It is hard to not be jealous of everyone around you. Everytime I see a baby or a pregnant woman I just want to cry. It helps me to have this message board and know I am not alone out there.

I got my blood test at about a month along but I had taken a urine test the same day that was negative but I needed to know for sure! The nurse was even surprised with the positive reading and I said I told you so, don't give up hope, keep us updated!

I am in the same situation too.. and it completely stinks! Our first happened the first month we tried with no effort. We are on month three of no pregnancy. I have cramping now, neg test and am so sad. I have 5 (yes 5!) friends in the past three weeks who have announced their pregnancy. Its so hard not to be envious. Two of them only tried twice! Seriously, we've been charting temps, ovul. kits and trying every other day to no avail. I completely understand where your coming from. Who knew the second time was going to be so hard :(
