How long does it take to see any effects? She's been on it over 2 weeks. She's a 79 y.o. women and she's very depressed. What are the major side effects?

Jennifer,

In general the onset of action for all antidepressants is approximately
2-4 weeks. Sometimes a full therapeutic effect requires titration of the medication to a higher dose. Serzone has an average therapeutic dose of 300-
600 mg daily but some people(ex. elderly) may respond to lower dosages.
Serzone is usually a fairly well tolerated medication. Side effects
that can occur are dry mouth, nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation.
