Desparation, depression, obsessions, DON'T KNOW!!!

I am a 23 yr. old female.  I have a wonderful family and a great life.  I met a man a few years age that turned my life around.  I found myself telling outrageous lies to get his attention and have his company.  The thing is, we were in a serious relationship but I felt I had to do this anyway.  Instead of bringing him closer it tore us apart.  We broke up 6 months ago and remained friends.  I continued to tell more lies to gain his help and keep him around.  He recently suspected it and I came clean and told him about all the things I had lied about.  He alienated me from him and all of our friends.  I feel desparate and as though I have nothing left.  All of my family are 400 miles away and I no longer have any friends.  I have thought about suicide and other desperate measures.  I am afraid of what I might do or what I may be capable of doing.  I don't know where to go from here but I know I need help. I can't live liket his and the one thing I was afraid of was to be alone.  Now I am.  What can I do?

Dear Kelley,

It is unfortunate your relationship ended with this gentleman.

It is important to learn from our past inorder to have a better future.

At this time you say you are alone, feel sad and have enough thought of taking your life.  These are symptoms of depression.

IF YOU ARE SUICIDAL GO TO THE NEAREST EMERGENCY ROOM.

Fotunately treatment (psychotherapy and medication) is available that may help you feel better and understand yourself.

I recommend you see a psychiatrist or a therapist.

Best Wishes,

HFHS M.D.-SW

Kelley you are not alone!!!!!4years ago I thought i was alone too. my mom had passed away I never met my Dad, my siblings and i were as far apart as the east is from the west and my husband worked 7 days a week 12 hour days, so when he was home he ate and then slept. The thing that happened to me was one day I was searching for answers and i got on my hands and knees and because I was in a twelve step progam i was doing my 3rd step"turn your will over to God" I said God I believe in you and Jesus I know i dont talk to you much but i believe in you too.and this presence came over me like I was incubated in a cacoon of love .what i found out happened to me was i got saved. Romans 10;8 says If you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and beleive in your heart you shall be saved and from that moment Jesus lives in you!!! you will know that you know that you are not alone!!!! Then from there on when you pray give him everything in your heart( he knows it already but he just needs you to reach out)all your pain all your saddness everything and talk to him like you would your best friend (because he is).and pray in Jesus name .Jesus also talks to you through the bible so read and get to know him!(The book of John in the NewTestament is a great place to start)Then plant yourself in a full godpel church where the people can help you and support you and love you the way God does ,Im praying for you .God Bless and remeber Jesus Loves you!!!and so do I  Your sister in christ
