.hello i am a 24 yr female. in june i started to have acute anxiety or that was what the dr had said although he was not sure. i was just sitting at orientation board because i had worked at the hosp so i alsready knew the people and programs. my friend noticed that i had got flushed ond was breathing hard. this continued for about 3hr so i went to the dr because i felt like i could not breath and my fingers andface where tingling. i had palpations and tackycardia @120 bpm. this continued through the knight. also these sympoms occure mainly at knight when i lay down i feal like i cant breath and my heart is jumping is this due to stress or panic

Please search this forums archives for past discussions on panic attacks, Panic disorder, Anxiety secondary to a general medical condition. I think the first thing that needs to be done is to have a complete physical with special attention to your cardiovascular system. If there is no identifiable medical problem then it would be helpful to see a psychiatrist for further evaluation of these anxiety symptoms. Good luck.
