Dosage of Lamicatal for bipolar depression

I have been diagnosed with Bipoplar I and have been stable for a year Oon Wellbutrin SR 150mg qd, Lamoctil 150mg bid, Lexapro 10m qd, Remeron 30mg qs but have become rather depressed lately and was hoping to decrease medications but I guess that is not going to happen. Also, I take 1mg of klonopin at night. Mt psych dr. is thinking of increasing the lamictal. Is it safe to go on higher doses of lamictal and what would you recommend?  Because of gastric bypass surgery, I can do longer take Wellbutrin XL which I think helped better. Thanks

I don't want to second guess your psychiatrist about medication. I would be carefully about increasing medication of any kind since you are already taking so much.  Since you tell me you have had  gastric bypass surgery, you might find help with your moods through a web based program that deals with emotions and food... go to www. masteringfood.com.

I guess since I paid a fee, I thought you would at least tell me safe dosage ranges for lamictal. Of course,  I will go with what my Dr states, but I thought I read somewhere that the safe dosage for bipolar should not exceed 200mg.  Is this true?
