HBP, short term memory loss young?!

by stump, Nov 12, 2005 12:00AM
HI I am 31 and have HBP on adv. 153/105 during day and 124/75 at night, and tacardia.  My BMI is 24. I have a renin count of 1.3. I was given metoprolol 25 mg 2xday + hydrochlorothiazide 25mg 1xday. I an taking meds for depression too, seroquel 25 mg 1xday.  My question is: are any of these meds causing short-term memory loss? if I stop taking them will it get better or worse, next stage total loss of memory?? how do I know if it is me or the meds?

The combination may be causing some central nervous system dimunition, but not any of the specific medications. You might ask your doctor to experiment with changing the doses or the combination to see how that effects you.
