= i just wanted to get some opinions...i'd appreciate any information you can give me.....Thank you....julie Propanolol is a drug which has been around for a long time as a treatment for a number of illnesses including high blood pressure, angina, migraine and tremor. It belongs to a class of drugs called beta blockers which tend to tone down the excitability of the heart and cardiovascular system, it can cuase a drop in blood pressure and pulse rate and sometimes causes a sense of fatigue. Propanolol should not be taken by people who have asthma, diabetes or circulation problems. Overall provided these categories of people do not take the drug it is very safe and there are very few dangerous idiosyncratic reactions. Since propanolol has been available for several years there is a lot of experience in using it, it is extensively used to treat essential tremor and should have a noticable beneficial effect.
