Question Title: Schwannoma Tumor

Forum: Neurology Forum
Topic: Thoracic

Thank you for answering my previous questions. The tumors were in areas
T-3 and T-7. on the right side. Can tumors in this position cause
numbness in the left side of my face and down through my shoulder to
my left arm? The numbness is not related to a heart condition, that has
all been checked out and found to be ok.

Dear Judyp:

The location of your numbness of the left side of your face and shoulder and arm
do not fit the location of the T3 and T7 location on the right side of the spinal
column. The T3 and T7 areas of sensation are in the upper trunk from just above
the nipple or upper chest and abdomen area. The face is in the brainstem and
in the cervical region for the arm and shoulder. I would tell your neurologist
about your symptoms.

Sincerely,

CCF Neuro[P] MD, RPS
