Dear All,

I am in my final year at Durham University UK and studying for a
BS(c)Hons. in Biomedical Sciences. The subject I have been allocated to
research is clinical biochemistry.

The title of my project: 'CSF SPECTROSCOPY AND CSF FERRITIN IN INTRA
CRANIAL BLEEDS'

Do you have any overheads,
notes, which you could send me, and references which I could follow up,
please? I will certainly include you both in the 'acknowledgments', as
my work may be published.

I enclose my postal address and the introduction
given to me.
If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me. An early
response would be appreciated.

'CSF SPECTROSCOPY AND CSF FERRITIN IN INTRA CRANIAL BLEEDS'

CT scans may demonstrate blood clots in the brain. In some people with
small bleeds and in those who present late to hospital it may not show
the clot. Free blood and the break down products are not normally
present in CSF. After a bleed, they cn be measured and are present for
several weeks. Will these assays help in the diagnosis of intracrainial
bleeds in patients who present late. The assays will be performed on
stored samples and compared with clinical outcomes.

Thank you
Juhi Bera
