: Can Valium cause muscle spasms, twithces?

Dear Robert:

Valium has muscle-relaxant properties and has been used to treat muscle spasms in clinical situations such as back pain, tetanus, etc. While almost any side effect has been described with any drug, I do not think muscle spasms and twitches can be attributed to valium.
